Camps On Tour

Camp Pinnacle

In 2011 Jane and “Doc”, undertook the challenge of their lives: reopening a closed summer camp!

Pinnacle, formerly one of the great legacy camps had been closed for a number of years before the Dockendorfs took the plunge. Come see what’s happening seven years later with a renovated campus and their new approach to summer camp developed to fit the modern family.

Camp Pinnacle serves boys and girls ages 7 through 15. Teenagers ages 13–19 may join our sister program, Adventure Treks, for outdoor adventure camps. We host campers each summer from more than 35 states and 16 countries.

Camp Greystone

Founded on the shores of Lake Summit in 1920, Greystone has been operated by the Miller family for nearly 100 years.

With their attention to detail and consistent leadership, the Millers have built a reputation for excellence and is a must see camp. With more than 70 activities there’s something to learn around every turn.

Greystone girls choose their own schedule, make their own friends, and learn to live in harmony with a large group of people who are different from themselves. They set goals, express themselves, and take ownership of their faith. Greystone provides a supportive environment for girls to rejoice in their freedom, for it is good.

Falling Creek Camp

Founded by “Jim Daddy” Miller as Camp Greystone’s brother camp, Falling Creek is known for it’s outstanding outdoor adventure program.

On a typical camp day, over 100 campers are out on rivers, rocks, and trails; paddling, climbing, mountain biking, and backpacking.

Come see Falling Creek’s new open-air gym with wood basketball court and indoor soccer arena. Also learn about Falling Creek’s unique scheduling software “Chuck Norris” that tracks attendance, progressions, camper’s health records and more.

Camp Illahee

Illahee means “heavenly world” in the Cherokee language. This expresses the very best of what campers, counselors, and staff create in this remarkable community every summer.

Come see this well-oiled, purpose driven girls camp. Illahee balances a strong “in camp” program with outdoor adventure in a welcoming Christian setting.

Our motto: “Be A Great Girl” inspires campers to develop qualities that will serve them for a lifetime: confidence, conviction, integrity, and an abiding respect for the wonders of the natural world. In a supportive atmosphere, Illahee girls forge friendships and experience a wide array of activities that encourage self-reliance, faith and self-esteem. We also strive to foster imagination, help campers develop a strong sense of self and promote the importance of community.

Camp Gwynn Valley

One of the pioneers in sustainability, Gwynn Valley practices what it preaches. Since the 1980’s Gwynn Valley has created a hands on environment where children learn where their food comes from.

The camp farm raises approximately 60-70% of the food they consume. Campers learn about harvesting vegetables by pulling, picking and digging in the dirt for carrots, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, corn and more. They also assist in caring for our farm animals: goats, chickens, baby calves and piglets. Animals need to be cared for throughout the day and our campers are there to witness and help with feeding and the chance to interact with them in ways that large scale farming never sees.

In addition to serving boys and girls in a residential camp setting, Gwynn Valley also operates a successful day camp.

Camp Highlander

Highlander has a unique approach to programing. As a cabin unit, campers participate in many adventures together both on and off-camp.

Our cabin unit structure helps each camper feel comfortable enough to step outside their comfort zone and try new things. With their cabin mates and counselors by their side every step of the way, campers meet each challenge and triumph with unbridled encouragement, support and love. Our goal is that each camper would discover just how courageous they can be while enjoying a journey filled with personal achievements and unforgettable memories. Additionally, Wednesdays and Saturdays are ‘camper choice’ days in which each camper is able to sign-up for their own activities as an individual.

Serving both boys and girls, Highlander is famous for their over-the-top evening programs and color war.
