Could Your Feedback Use Some Feedback?

Breakout Block Two: Monday/10:45am

This session focuses on all aspects of feedback at an “institutional” level. At camp, we spend a lot of time training leadership staff how to give feedback, though we barely spend any time teaching frontline staff how to receive it. Using data collected from actual frontline camp staff, it focuses on three key pieces: the true function of feedback camp, what staff are asking for vs. what they need, and sharing an actual turnkey orientation session that camps can implement this summer, which focuses on teaching staff how to receive feedback – to help instill feedback as a core value at camp, and to help reduce the growing trends of staff burnout, pushback, and shutdown (or eve defiance).
